Stays in Vegas… so they say. In our case, we're anxious to share our Vegas experience together which we will affectionately treasure for many years to come. We have undoubtedly renewed and, in some cases, established new connections with this intimate group of classmates and their families.

Mahalo Nui to our dedicated planning committee:
  • David Silva - Our Vegas Connection. Thank you David for your dedication in working on the banquet details with the Golden Nugget catering department and obtaining GN's donation of dice in velvet bags and gold necklaces for each attendee. Also for securing centerpieces from the Plaza which contained beef jerky, cinnamon chips, and shortbread cookies in the shape of a deck of cards all wrapped up in a gift basket. David was very instrumental in asking his business associates for generous cash donations which were awarded to winners of the Roll-the-Dice game and winners of the Slot Tournament. Speaking of the Slot Tournament, we thank David for coordinating with Main Street Station to organize the event, reserve the slot machines, and scoretaking. The decibel breaking Slot Tournament was a huge success!

The two main events, Birthday Bash and Slot Tournament, would not have been possible without David, his wife Lili Ann and their group of friends who managed our banquet reception table in order for us to enjoy ourselves. Your unselfish labor of love is appreciated. A very special mahalo to David's son for assisting us in collecting and saving songs from the 80's onto the IPod since apparently our generation is technically challenged with today's technology. We thoroughly enjoyed the songs integrated with the slideshow!

  • Tammy (Batara) Monico - Our Finance Officer. Thanks Tammy for keeping track of expenses, balancing with income, and keeping us within budget. She maintained the registration list, payments and IOU's, and monitored the post office box. Our name badges were printed by Tammy which included matching yearbook photos with names plus printing names of spouses and other special guests. We also thank Tammy for keeping an eye out for money saving travel deals early in the planning stages and sharing them with us. You are truly a business leader.

  • Janice (Duldulao) Kirkham - Our Operations Driver. The silent partner behind the scenes. A multitude of planning details were coordinated and communicated after each meeting mostly by email. Keeping everyone on target and ensuring each task was executed aided in the success of this reunion. Also, getting in touch with classmates via Classmates.com and periodic email blasts to our fellow '81 Govs was a daunting task but well worth the effort. This year securing donations proved to be challenging with the current economic status, but with much persuasion we received generous donations even from a few who were unable to join us. We graciously thank those donors. Finally, updating the website with current information to assist us in planning our itinerary helped us all to fill our days with loads of fun!

  • Mary Jane (Burigsay) Tuvera - Our Production Manager. With her mass production and shipping expertise, MJ coordinated the selection and design development of this year's keepsake of a canvas bag featuring the artistic design of Manny Salvador. Each attendee happily went home with an eco friendly bag showing off the Farrington Governors design especially created for us.

  • Jeri Lee (Rego) Tagavilla - Our Resource Librarian. Having been involved in planning past reunions, Jeri shared her invaluable resources especially records of our class database and safely keeping past slideshow productions. We thank her for networking with long lost classmates and updating us on some of their whereabouts. Jeri has also assisted in maintaining our website when time permitted. Noticed the printed programs on each table? This was the product of Jeri's hidden talent. We also thank Jeri for securing the arrangements with the photographer who took great looking photos of all of us! Although she was unable to join us in Vegas, we know her heart was with us. Thanks Jeri, for caring about the Class and for pitching in where you could.

  • Lori (Valencia) Doctolero - Our Back Bone. Lori was generous to allow us to ship goods to her home in Vegas. This saved us headache and eased the logistics of shipping/transporting goods to Vegas. Thanks Lori for your offer and to your family for dealing with us.

  • Mario Monico - Our Entertainer. The ever quick-witted and punch line throwing genious you are. As the emcee at our banquet, your humor certainly trumped the entertainment level of the evening leaving all of us with great long lasting memories. We all thoroughly enjoyed your improv!
